What we collect and why

• When you log in with Facebook: your account identifier, display name and a copy of your avatar. Nothing else. We keep the copy of the avatar on our own storage, because Facebook addresses expire and old conversations would fall apart.
• When you comment: the text, the time, and any passage you quoted. Comments are public the moment you send them.
• Comments from our Facebook page: we copy them here so the whole discussion sits in one place. The author name and avatar come along.
• Traffic statistics: aggregated page views without cookies and without identifying you.

What we do not do

No advertising, no profiling, no selling data, no newsletter you did not ask for. There are no marketing cookies, so there is no consent banner.

Who else sees the data

Only the services that make the site run: the hosting provider, the database, the file storage, the anti-spam check and the mail service that notifies the editor about new comments. Each processes data on our behalf, nothing more.

How long we keep it

Comments stay as long as the post does, because a conversation that vanishes is worth nothing. If a comment breaks the rules we hide it rather than delete it. Login data is kept as long as your account exists here.

Your rights
